Laboratory Tests
Pre-Operative Diagnostic Tests
In preparation for your upcoming surgery, you may be
required to have certain diagnostic tests performed. Your
surgeon will determine which tests you may require during an office
visit and give you the necessary requisitions to take with you.
Not everyone needs to have the same tests performed. You may be
required to have some or all of the following: blood work,
ECG, or chest x-ray.
Laboratory Tests
It is recommended that you go to an MDS Laboratory for
your tests to be performed. You will be required to bring a laboratory
requisition from your doctor as well as your Health Card.

Centre in the East Main Clinic, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m.
and 3:00 p.m. The East Main Clinic is located on the main
floor of the hospital in the East Building. Please inquire at the
Information Desk for directions. You will be required to
bring a requisition from your doctor as well as your Health
Card.
