Southlake tops list for third consecutive year as one of GTA's Top Employers
Newmarket, Ontario – November 22, 2010 – For the third consecutive year, Southlake Regional Health Centre is honored to be recognized as one of the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers for 2011, by MediaCorp Canada Inc.
The 2011 list of recipients, publically released in the November 22 edition of the Globe and Mail, recognizes employers in the Greater Toronto Area that actively attempt and succeed at creating a positive and rewarding work environment for their employees. Each year, Mediacorp receives applications from hundreds of companies throughout the GTA. Southlake is proud to be placed in such selective company, maintaining their place among the top employers in the GTA for a third consecutive year.

Southlake was evaluated through an application process that looked at several different criteria. The editors, who also run the Canada’s Top 100 Employers program, evaluated employers based on; physical workplace, work and social atmosphere, benefits, employee communication, vacation and time off, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement. The editors then compared Southlake to other healthcare organizations to determine leaders of the field.
