Southlake's CEO recipient of
Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal

Newmarket, Ontario - February 16, 2003 - On February 16, 2003, Dan Carriere, President and CEO of Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, was one of 16 northern York Region residents to be presented with the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal by Julia Munro, MPP, York North. According to Ms. Munro, Mr. Carriere was chosen to receive this prestigious Medal in recognition of his commitment to establish advanced health care services closer to home for the residents of York Region, Simcoe County and south Muskoka.

In honour of the Queen's Golden Jubilee marking the 50th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen's accession to the throne, this commemorative Medal is being presented to approximately 46,000 Canadians in recognition of their significant achievements or distinguished service.
