Message from the President

At Southlake Regional Health Centre we wear many hats. To an expectant mother, we are a warm, friendly and modern place to bring a new life into the world. To a cardiac patient, we represent the latest, most advanced medical care possible. To a cancer patient, we are the future of great cancer care, close to home. To a troubled child or adolescent, we are an understanding ear and, at times, their only ally.

We are proud that we have been entrusted to serve the wide-ranging healthcare needs of our community. We are also astutely aware of what makes that possible – our people. Our team of more than 2,400 employees, 380 physicians, and 500 volunteers share a common goal – to make Southlake synonymous with health care excellence.  Every accomplishment we make, every new procedure, baby born, new building constructed, cut stitched…everything we do is a reflection of our unwavering dedication to our patients and to the communities we serve. In private industry, this commitment is called “customer service.” At Southlake we call it “delivering shockingly excellent service” and that is exactly what we strive to do – to exceed expectations each and every time we interact with a patient, a visitor, or a co-worker.

The same can be said for our website. Southlakeregional.org offers us another opportunity to reach out to our patients, community residents, current and future staff, physicians, and volunteers to provide accurate, timely information. We also hope that it projects a sense of our warm, inviting culture and the outstanding level of care we provide to the over one million people who rely on us to be there when they need us.
