What is a community event?

A fundraising event held by an individual, group or organization to support Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Who organizes community events?

Anyone who wants to support the work of Southlake can plan a community event. Many community event organizers are grateful to our staff for the care they or a love one received. Others wish to honour the life of a family member or valued co-worker, while some organizers simply want to support healthcare in their community.

Why organize a community event?

Southlake was built through the generosity of our community and people like you. We use the donations we receive from our supporters to build new programs like the Regional Cancer Centre, replace worn equipment, acquire new, more advanced medical tools, enhance patient services, provide staff education and, to renovate and expand our facilities to meet the needs of our growing communities.

What kind of community event can we organize?

Your imagination is the limit, from dinner parties, to golf tournaments, fashion shows to backyard barbeques. If you have an idea, review our Community Events Guide and Community Events Toolkit;  both will assist you with all the details you need to plan a successful event. We would be happy to discuss your event plans with you.
