Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
The eight-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. provides care to acutely ill patients who are experiencing problems relating to heart disease and require advanced cardiac care, diagnostic testing, monitoring, and treatments, such as special intravenous medications percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty), cardiac surgery or heart rhythm procedures.
Some of the conditions treated on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit include:
- Acute coronary syndrome/Myocardial Infarction
- Cardiogenic shock
- Cardiac Arrhthymias
- Aortic Stenosis
- Advance Heart Failure assessment and management
