Preoperative Education - Shoulder/Hip/Knee School
In preparation for your surgery, patients are referred to preoperative education by their orthopaedic surgeon. This out-patient service is conducted by an interdisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists or nurses and includes an overview of the anatomy and function of the shoulder, hip and knee and instructions for post-operative recovery to ensure the best possible outcomes. Post rehabilitation is usually prearranged to ensure seamless care.
