Medicine Clinics
The Department of Medicine offers a few clinics under the Medicine Clinics umbrella where Internal Medicine Specialists (Internists) offer their consults for patients. All referrals are reviewed and triaged by clinicians. Patients can also be seen by other allied health practitioners such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, respiratory therapists and laboratory technicians as needed.
Following is an outline of each of the clinics.
General Medicine Clinic
The clinic operates 5 days per week.

GI Clinic
The clinic is open to ER Referrals only

Investigation and management of urgent gastrointestinal-related
illnesses such as, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disease, acute
hepatitis, cirrhosis, dyspepsia
- Appropriate diagnostic procedures such as ERCP, endoscopy, colonoscopy

Geriatric Assessment Clinic (GAT) and Geriatric Outreach Team (GOT)

- Offers in-home comprehensive assessment for elderly patients and
makes appropriate linkages to GAT clinic after assessment to see our
geriatrician
The clinic operates Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Anticoagulation Clinic and Thrombosis Concerns
The Clinic operates Mondays to Fridays as needed for urgent cases and on Thursdays for thrombosis follow-up

Referral Process
A physician's referral is require for these clinics. After the
referral has been received, patients can expect a call within 48
hours,and will be given an appointment in the most appropriate clinic.
