Our six week Water Wellness Program is geared at soothing pain, increasing strength, and improving mobility. Each 45 minute full-body exercises class is completed in a warm, salt-water pool, and is led by our trained instructors.

The Unique Advantages of Aquatic Therapy
Buoyancy — floating in water allows you to exercise with up to 90 percent of body weight removed. This dramatically
decreases painful joint compressive forces and fear of falling.
Temperature — the warmth of the water results in relaxation and pain reduction by inhibiting pain pathways.
Turbulence— the ever changing flow of the water imparts safe and gentle forces on the body to help improve your balance and core stability.
Viscosity — the “thickness” of the water allows for gentle and progressive resistance to aquatic exercise. Hydrostatic
Pressure — the pressure exerted on your body when it is submerged in the aquatic environment. While exercising, this pressure can assist with the return of blood from your legs to your heart.
Who is a candidate for Aquatic Therapy?
People who suffer from:
- Arthritis/Joint Pain
- Post-Surgical recovery
- Muscle Strains
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Circulatory Disorders
- Balance Difficulties
- Low Back Pain: Chronic and Pregnancy
This class is suitable for people who are Independently mobile.
Participants must be able to navigate stairs with two railings and dress independently. The temperature of the pool is 92°F – 94°F.
