Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current R.N. Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • Current certification Heart Saver Plus (C12/C1) OR BCLS (C12/C1)

  • CC1 Course completion required

  • Minimum two years’ experience caring for surgical patients (within the last 3-5 years) or Critical Care Certificate required

  • Minimum of two years of PACU experience (current within last six months) preferred

  • "Care of the Post Anaesthetic Patient" Course required within the first year of hire.

  • Completion of a recognized patient assessment course

  • Ventilator experience preferred

  • Critical care experience preferred

  • Safety awareness

  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork

  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills

    Health & Safety Workplace Responsibilities:
