Job Summary:

We are seeking a full time Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in all areas of the Operating Room. This position involves working 8/10 and 12 hour shifts with on call night and weekends

Qualifications:

·         RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class

·         Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College

·         Registered Respiratory Therapist

·         Registered with the C.R.T.O.

·         Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College

·         Participates in the CRTO’s Quality Assurance Program

·         Knowledge of Anaesthesiology, basic hemodynamic principles and Anaesthesia equipment to be operated

·         Multi-service Operating Room experience within the last 5 years is preferred

·         Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience an asset

·         Demonstrated competence in arterial line insertion required

·         BCLS required

·         ACLS preferred

·         Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

·         Demonstrates willingness to work in a interprofessional environment

·         Commitment to interprofessional teaching and learning

·         Analysis / problem assessment

·         Innovative and willing to learn

·         Commitment to customer service and teamwork

·         Demonstrates individual leadership skills

·         Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
