Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse works within the Standards of Nursing Practice as laid down by the College of Nurses, Regulated Health Professions Act, July 1996, Regulations, Nursing Act (Bill 57), the Guidelines of Ethical Behaviour, policies and practices of the hospital.

Qualifications:

  • RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • 3- 5 years recent critical care nursing experience or Critical Care Certificate

  • ACLS preferred

  • BScN preferred

  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

  • Analysis / problem assessment

  • Innovative and willing to learn

  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork

  • Demonstrates individual leadership skills

  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35.

    • RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

    • Minimum 1-3 years of recent medical and or surgical nursing experience

    • BCLS current certification

    • BSCN preferred

    • Current ACLS preferred

    • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills

    • Demonstrated leadership abilities
