Required Qualifications:

·         College Diploma in Medical Secretary program or equivalent

·         Health Care experience essential, especially with Diabetes and Chronic Diseases.

·         Experience with Ministry of Health reports

·         Excellent secretarial skills including Windows XP, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, STAR, Project Management and desk-top publishing

·         Dicta typing at a minimum speed of 60 words per minute

·         Ability to take minutes and notes of meetings

·         Ability to cope and be flexible in a demanding environment

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently, meeting deadlines

·         Ability to multitask, analysis and problem solving

·         Ability to perform other duties as requested by Manager

·         Medical terminology

·         Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality

·         Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

·         Innovative and willing to learn

·         Commitment to customer service and teamwork

·         Demonstrates individual leadership skills

·         Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
