Job Summary:
The Registered Practical Nurse works within the Standards of Nursing practice as laid down by the College of Nurses, the Regulated Health Professional Act, July 1996, Regulations, the Nursing Act (Bill 57) and the Guidelines of Ethical Behaviour, policies and practices of the Hospital.

Qualifications:

  • Current RPN certificate of registration from Ontario College of Nurses

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in rehabilitation and orthopaedics

  • Will provide primary nursing care to assigned patients including medication administration and to patients requiring assisted ventilator needs

  • Competent In BCLS

  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

  • Analysis / problem assessment

  • Innovative and willing to learn

  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork

  • Demonstrates individual leadership skills

  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35
