The Cancer Centre operating hours are 0730-2000. Shifts are scheduled within these hours based on operational needs.   

Job Summary:

Stronach Regional Cancer Program Unit Clerk is a member of the Regional Cancer Program team who works under the direct supervision of the Oncology Clinical Information Manager or delegate in performing receptionist, scheduling, communication, order entry and all other duties related to MosaiQ and eBooking Clinical Information Systems.  Regional Cancer Program Unit Clerks works with the support of and in collaboration with all care providers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12

  • Medical Terminology Certificate

  • Previous Regional Cancer Centre and/or Hospital experience

  • Excellent keyboarding skills 40 wpm

  • Knowledge of Cancer Centre scheduling and processes

  • Preferred proficiency with MosaiQ Clinical Information System

  • Demonstrates excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills

  • Demonstrates analytical skills in relation to knowledge of hospital operations

  • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize as required.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task

  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication in dealing with the public and medical staff.

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Current CPR certification considered an asset

  • Proven ability to attend work regularly
