·          RN certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario

·          BCLS current certification

·          Two years’ experience in acute mental health (recent)

·          CNA Mental Health certificate preferred

·          Crisis prevention institute certificate or equivalent     

·          Brief solution focused therapy certificate preferred

·          Ability to rapidly shift workload priorities

·          Experience in assisting with ECT treatments and recovery

·          Experience in recovery focused model of care

·          A good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act

·         Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal

·         Demonstrates facilitation, problem solving skills and conflict resolution

·         Innovative and willing to learn

·         Commitment to shockingly excellent experiences

·         Demonstrates individual leadership skills

·         Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35.
