High school students help us solve our challenges

A group of high school students dropped by Southlake on November 27 to learn what it's like to be a patient and give us their ideas for reducing in-patient falls.

The students are enrolled in the Specialist High Skills Major program at the York Region District School Board.

Focusing on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, the students partner with community organizations, like Southlake, to help design solution to authentic problems. In our case, they worked on ways to prevent patients from falling while in the hospital.
