Cardiovascular Integrated Physiology Program (CVIP)
The Cardiovascular Integrated Physiology Clinic is dedicated to patients with functional coronary artery disease.
It is a clinic dedicated to research with collaborators from York University with specialists in non-invasive vascular function testing, autonomic dysfunction, obesity, physical inactivity and behavioural modification.
The objective is to gather a database of information on patients in order to learn more about patients with functional coronary artery disease and how to improve the management of these conditions.
It is believed that this is the only clinic of its kind in Canada
In many cases the clinic has provided patients with definitive diagnoses that otherwise may never have been received and subsequently been able to treat and manage. We have seen some patients in follow-up who have reported near resolution of their symptoms by following the specified treatment plan.
