Coronary Syndrome Y

Coronary Syndrome Y
This condition is also referred to as Coronary Slow Flow Syndrome. It typically occurs more frequently in men and is characterized by chest discomfort at rest contributing to limitation in activities of daily living and reduced quality of life. Symptoms occur as a result of delayed blood flow down the arteries of the heart visualized during angiogram. Increased resistance in the small arteries of the heart while at rest has been determined to contribute to these patient’s symptoms.
