Southlake Youth Collaboration Council

At Southlake we believe that the patient’s perspective is key in our ability to deliver exceptional healthcare services. The Southlake Youth Collaboration Council (SYCC) is part of the Patient and Family Advisor Program and is made up of youth advisors between 12 and 18 years of age. The goal of the SYCC is for youth to work in partnership with staff, physicians and community partners when discussions, plans, and decisions are being made about the delivery of healthcare services at Southlake to include youth perspectives.

What is a Youth Advisor?

A Youth Advisor is a newly created volunteer position under the Patient and Family Advisor Program at Southlake. • Assist in the planning and design of programs, services, and facilities
