Vice President, Our People, Corporate Services, and Chief Human Resources Officer
Sandra began her career at Trillium Health Centre as a Registered Practice Nurse before broadening her skills and expertise to include human resources and people management. Sandra became the Director, People Practice at Trillium in 2005, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of people practices to support the organization’s strategic initiatives. In 2008, Sandra joined North York General and in 2011, was promoted to the position of Vice President, People Services and Organizational Development, overseeing the creation of the Hospital’s first People Plan Strategy and a robust Talent Management Program. In her role as Vice President, Sandra has provided executive leadership to the Patient- and Family-Centred Care initiative, demonstrating her strong commitment to ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
Sandra is involved in a number of system opportunities, including a four-hospital consortium optimizing human resources benefit solutions, and the Leadership and Organizational Development Committee, an eight-hospital consortium which is examining leadership and organizational development solutions to support the effective and efficient use of resources and best practice tools, of which Southlake is a partner.
Sandra is a Senior Human Resources Professional. She has a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and is a Certified Healthcare Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Sandra is also a guest lecturer for the Master of Health Administration Program through the University of Toronto.
